What made you decide to join the team at REW?

I first got to know about REW back in 2014 when I saw the episode of REW featured on Dragon's Den. I was particularly impressed by how Morgan Carey (CEO at Real Estate Webmasters) handled the questions by the dragons and held his ground. At that time, I didn't know that three years later I would be working for the same company!

David has held various roles at REW that have given him a really well-rounded view of the business, which his peers and the industry can benefit from learning about. He has also been recently promoted to lead of the Product Enhancement squad in Product Development.

Every day I come into work it's different. Something's different. And sometimes it's interesting when you come back from vacation because a lot of things have become different. MirandaWhat would you say you do here?

As as a Squad Leader and Senior Web Designer I have a player/coach role, where I facilitate team standups, work assignments, and perform the leadership function for squad members. As a Senior Designer, I work on a wide variety of projects ranging from small customizations to full custom websites.

What’s your favourite part about your job?

I love solving problems! I especially enjoy finding elegant solutions to complex problems - whether it be a design, code, functionality, or user experience problem. I also love the fast pace environment at REW. It’s really energizing, and it’s never boring.

What are some of the best challenges you overcome as a designer?

1. What is your position at REW?

As Director of the Product Development team, I currently support a talented group of team leads, designers, programmers and developers in launching REW's suite of technologies.

2. What does a typical day look like for you?

The general cycle is pretty simple, I start with a plan for the day and complete the objectives I had set out. There are typically 3 key areas I focus on:

A) Projects - are they on schedule and within the scope of work and quality expected? A daily scrum meeting takes place every morning on the major projects with the purpose of understanding every team member's achievements from the day before, what they have planned for the current day, and what the barriers are for continuing their
