Do brands need taglines?

Taglines definitely aren’t a necessity, but they can be a powerful way to communicate your brand message. I’m curious to know how many of you have a tagline? And if you have one, are you happy with it? Does it say what you want it to say?

I agree with you, the tagline is the best way to tell your brand name. It creates a positive impression to people. But still it totally up to us whether we need it or not. If someone does not have a tagline it does not create a negative impact on the business. So for me it just a choice.

@Vaneetsethi @psgroup Totally agree with both of you. I find they are most beneficial when it’s not 100% clear what the brand is about from just the name. In that case, it acts somewhat as a positioning statement. Out of curiosity, do you use taglines for your own brands?
