Hello all,
Thank you for your feedback (it is very valuable and appreciated).
Yes, we did in fact make the decision to remove the “dashboard” from the REW CRM.
I’ll explain the logic but I certainly do welcome feedback (and then I’ll provide you with some context around future plans)
In terms of the logic behind the removal of the dashboard - the vast majority of feedback to us was that it was not being used and was simply another click they had to make to get to the “leads” screen which is where most folks spend their time.
Why were they skipping the dashboard?
The dashboard had 2 components, both of which are available (duplicates) of features that have now been adopted into the new UI.
Primary feature (old dashboard): “New leads” - you could quickly see net new leads and assign them to agents (or if you work leads yourself see the new leads you wanted to work.
The problem with the old feature (dashboard) - the data shown was on very old UI cards that took up a lot of space and the cards themselves provided extremely limited information.
Proposed / new UI solution (best practice)
For new leads, it is recommended you use “smart lists” and you can edit your “default” smart list with much more robust filtering so that you can not only emulate the query that was on the previous dashboard, but you can get far more granular/specific if you so choose.
also in the new UI - administrators (AND agents) can all create their own custom views and decide which data is most important to them to surface and can have us much (or as little) data as possible thus optimizing their experience.
Here is an example visual to explain:
Here is the old UI (Dashboard) for leads you want to potentially deal with. Note the information you see is not customizable or configurable in any way. It’s simply a pre-set list with very limited data.
Here is the leads UI which can be set to show the “exact same leads” - but with a significantly larger amount of data AND is custom configurable.
The question we asked ourselves is which is preferred - it is believed that the 2nd screen is far preferred for most (not all) users. But I’d love to convince anyone who prefers the old version why the new one is superior.
