I’ve been brushing up on the technical side of SEO lately, and while admittedly not the most exciting topic, its impact is huge. Aside from keywords and content, the setup of your site affects your visibility.
Technical elements like site structure, navigation, mobile design, and speed really do make a difference. For example, switching to a flatter site structure and cleaning up old redirects can improve your crawlability and page speed. Adding an XML sitemap through Search Console, will also help with indexing your site’s pages.
Optimizing your images is also another way of improving your technical SEO. Converting images to a WebP format reduces load times without compromising quality.
