Looking at my CMS Navigation panel in the backend, and seeing a big mess. Is there any SEO benefit to having this in a structured / organized order? Should this be in order by priority landing pages or other main pages?
Hey @Bofficer,
Great question, thanks for asking. Just to clarify, are you talking about your public-facing navigation menu (what visitors see at the top of your site) or the backend CMS page list (just how pages are named/organized in your admin panel)?
If it’s the navigation - yes, that directly impacts SEO - menu structures affect how search engines understand your site hierarchy and how users find pages.
If its the backend organization - it won’t directly affect rankings, but keeping it clean prevents mistakes like:
- Accidentally publishing draft/test pages
- Creating duplicate pages because you forgot one existed
- Linking to the wrong version of a page
- Losing track of what’s actually live vs old content
A messy backend means more chases for SEO errors later on.
Let me know if you have any specific questions. I’m happy to help.
