Google One Tap in 2026

How many of you are using Google One tap? I’ve been using it for a while and I feel like the lack of phone number capture has been tough for us. For a while I was getting about 2 One Tap sign ups to every 5 traditional lead capture sign ups but over the last few months it’s switched the other way. Seems like we are getting tons of leads signing in with One Tap.

Curious to know what everyone else is seeing when having the OneTap option enabled on your site. Would love to see if anyone is converting from just an email vs having a leads phone number. Maybe I’m overthinking it?

That’s a classic trade-off between friction and data quality. We noticed that relying solely on Google One Tap can indeed hurt lead qualification, so we actually use a hybrid system. We let users sign up quickly, but then trigger an automated flow to capture the missing details like phone numbers.
