Are you optimizing for GPTSEO / AISEO (whatever you want to call it?)
I’m sitting here in Youbou BC (one of our target markets where we also own a waterfront home) and I’m testing various queries on Google’s AI engine.
Check out the screenshot above: What you’ll see is that (at this point) Google is still using (and surfacing) search results (ie websites) based on criteria of relevance, and I would assume E-E-A-T and several other factors.
So if we take a volume keyword like “area homes for sale” you can still “rank” in a very real sense in the AI engine.
In fact, if I were a consumer typing in a query like this - I would not want to read the blurb at all, I want to see the homes - and what am I going to click?

So if you’re not doing AISEO / GPTSEO - you should be (and just know it’s possible for even a small team website with strong authority to rank)
