Hey all,
Was speaking to my friend Sara from @livrealestate today and she shared with me this awesome idea Redirecting...
The premise is, they are giving away $1,000 per week for 10 weeks ($100 per person to 10 people) to help support local restaurants.
As a former restaurant owner myself and now the landlord to an amazing restaurant operator (I leased my restaurant to Melange) I know first hand how hard it is for this industry right now.
So kudos to Sara and Sheldon for stepping up and helping their local community.
But what I also want to point out to all REW folks is this is REALLY good marketing!
This is the kind of thing that really tugs at the heartstrings and makes people remember you and your brand. When you can combine giving back with a program that folks are willing to share and be excited to talk about on social or in the news, you build a lot of credibility and I truly believe this kind of giving back marketing is one of the best ways to ensure long term success for your business.
And dangit it just feels good!
So my question is this: What are you doing to give back to your local community AND what are some marketing ideas you can think of to make sure your message (and your brand) reaches as many people as possible?
PS - please share that post on social and also feel free to write about it on your blog and give them a link, because they are awesome
