Morning all,
I am just testing out the POC / Alpha for the new customized “stages” feature. (Thanks @Garyashton for the push on this one).
Those who know REW CRM, know we’ve always had stages. But in previous iterations, they were fixed. (Lead, Contact, Client etc)
Gary and Scott pointed out that the like the way FUB does it, where you can create your own stages and re-organize them (this comes from Salesforce Originally I think).
As part of our advisory group (and power FUB users) when these lads say something is important. It gets done!
So I’m pleased to announce (coming soon) custom stages!
Super simple:
Using the familiar REW UI for groups, tags, etc head over to organize / Stages
Brings you to the stage manager, where you can drag and drop existing stages (to re-order), add new stages and delete stages (You can also customize colours and provide descriptions)
Once created, stages are available in several places:
Example: the main leads screen / UI where you can multi-select leads and assign leads to a stage:
And on the details page
Pretty cool, right?
Ok now onto the conversation: (I need your help)
What “default” stages should new installs come with?
A traditional sales pipeline might look something like this:
And these are what I could see from FUB’s public site
Do you agree with the FUB stages? (I’m not sure I do, at least not with all of them.
Here’s my thinking
When you deal with stages, you’re trying to move them through a logical progression (it is where a specific person seems to be at a moment in time in the relationship)
Example: lead > engaged prospect > offers > closings
Vs things like “Sphere” - those are more like labels (Facts about a person that don’t change in time) - so in my mind “Shere” is a “group” not a “stage” the same goes for “past client” (and you can be both a past client and sphere, since you could have originally come from sphere and you want to know that, and now they are (and always will be) a past client if you’ve done busienss with them.
So for me, I’m putting sphere, and past client into groups (not stages)
Trash makes sense in FUB (That’s an agent saying I think this lead is garbage I’m not working it) but in my world, I would prefer they just rejected the lead completely (to keep their CRM clean) but I don’t fundamentally disagree with trash.
So what are your thoughts on this for the “default” install (knowing you can of course change your own custom using the new manager)
What should I put for default stages in the next update?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
