To save or to auto save?

I’m really leaning into writing more blog content and one of the more frustrating things that I’m running into is the fact that I don’t save periodically like I should. I don’t typically write too many long form pieces of content and frankly, everything these days either creates a draft or automatically saves for me.

So the question is, any chance that there’s an auto save option coming to the blog post section of Renaissance?

Hi Matt,
Thanks so much for sharing your idea! An auto-save feature is definitely something that many people find helpful, and I can see how it would be useful when working on blog posts. Right now, the best way to keep drafts safe is to use the “save without publishing” option so you can come back and edit anytime. Some of our clients also like to draft in tools like Google Docs, which has auto-save built in, and then copy the content over when ready.
That said, if auto-save is something you’d really like, it may be possible through custom development. We always appreciate feedback like this—it helps us understand what’s most important to our users.
Hope that helps, and thanks again for the great suggestion!

That’s actually what I do as well - another big benefit to Google docs is version history (so you can go back to previous versions) it also allows me to share with the team, access other resources (plan images, videos, and source other assets).

That being said, we could add it to the explore backlog as there is nothing worse than losing your work when you click a button and PRAYING when you click the back button it will somehow still be there.

Thanks for the suggestion Matt

I also have been writing content in Google Docs. The other day though I copy and pasted into a draft and walked away from my computer. It went to sleep and when I came back I tried to save and had an issue. Not sure if it was internet related or just a hiccup of some sort but either way, it didn’t save. Luckily I still had the content in the google doc but I did lose some small changes I made. Not saying priority by any means but would a “nice to have” feature.
