Feature Overview: How It Works
Currently, REW CRM's Campaigns feature allows users to send emails and drip campaigns to nurture leads. To level up this existing tool, we decided to redesign Campaigns and update the CRM to track key email metrics such as open rate, click-through rate (CTR), bounce rate, unsubscribe rate, and more (percentage and totals are both presented as an option).
The metrics will be showcased in graph and table format on the Campaigns dashboard, making it easier to analyze and compare performance. You can also access the email metrics of emails sent to each lead by going to the Lead Details Page.
One of our product advisors and the leader of the #1 eXp Realty team in Canada, Justin Havre, suggested this powerful feature. As a firm advocate of accountability, he emphasizes the importance of having an email reporting tool so agents can boost their email marketing. Building relationships with leads is the key to closing more deals, and having an analytics tool helps better connect with prospective clients.
This upcoming Email Metrics and Campaigns Redesign is just the first phase of our efforts to upgrade REW CRM’s emailing feature. Stay tuned for its release this winter and expect more updates in the succeeding product releases!

Why Email Tracking Matters
As real estate agents, lead engagement is a big part of the job, which includes sending emails. Take note though that hitting the send button is just the beginning. Tracking and analyzing your email performance should also be part of your workflow, and here are the reasons why:
1. Understand what’s working and not: Checking which emails and campaigns have high open rates and click-through rates will help you pinpoint which aspects of these emails you should implement consistently across your campaigns. Likewise, analyzing your low performing emails, such as those having high unsubscribe rates and low open rates, will help you understand what you might not be doing correctly. Are your subject lines too generic? Are your call-to-actions prominently placed? Playing with these factors and reviewing your email metrics is the first step to improving your campaign performance.
2. Immediately catch issues: Regularly tracking your email metrics will allow you to spot issues (ex. high bounces and unsubscribe rates) as soon as they arise. Check what might be causing this, and immediately adjust your emails to make sure they don’t hurt your overall results.
3. Maintain a good sender reputation: Keeping an eye on your bounces and deliverability, and addressing these issues will help maintain your domain’s reputation. This ensures that your emails will successfully reach your recipient’s inbox and lower the possibility of being tagged as spam.
4. Improve lead engagement: Tracking and reviewing your metrics means you understand which content interests your leads and when is the best time to connect with them. You also understand which tone, format, and images work best, allowing you to successfully engage with leads, and eventually build strong relationships.
5. Determine which lead groups need further attention: When you send a campaign using REW CRM, you need to create and choose which lead group (ex. new leads, luxury leads, waterfront leads, etc.) you’d like to receive your emails. By analyzing the email metrics of your campaigns, you can see which groups are engaged, and which ones need to be given more attention.
6. Make data-driven decisions: It’s a waste of time, resources, and opportunity to guess blindly what decision would give you the best results. With email metrics in the CRM, you can easily access real data about your campaigns, giving you the insights needed to make decisions that will boost your email marketing.
