When time equals money, it’s more important than ever to be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with your potential clients. Part of that is knowing exactly who your clients are and what they want to see—which is why one of the new features that we’re rolling out with our new winter CRM update is the ability to better manage email campaigns and view essential metrics.

With this new feature, agents are able to extract far more insights about their audience base than ever before. For email marketing, this directly translates to clicks, calls, and (most importantly) more closed deals. Let’s dive into how exactly this new stuff all works!

Email Campaigns: A Brief Overview

Part of our current version of REW’s CRM is the drip-campaign feature for simple and easy email marketing solutions. You can manage and implement email marketing strategies in the same window as you view your leads, update your site, and connect with new and existing clients.

Individual Campaigns Stats and Email Metrics

However, we understood that, while email campaigns are a significant component of the CRM, this aspect wasn’t developed to its full potential, and we could significantly improve the volume (and the quality!) of the data that is shown. Enter our refined Campaign section. Modern and user-friendly, this part of the CRM allows you to see—by quick and tangible numbers—what connects with your clients and what does not.

The New Campaign Interface: How It All Works

Creating and editing email campaigns is pretty straightforward and, for ease of use, the interface closely resembles existing parts of the CRM.

Opening the Campaign section in the backend of your site will show you your current email campaigns and, right above an easy-to-read graph, the following metrics:

  • Sent (The number of emails you’ve sent)
  • Opens (The number of emails that were opened by recipients)
  • Clicks (The number of times recipients clicked a link in an email)
  • Bounces (The number of emails that bounced back to you)
  • Unsubscribes (The number of recipients who unsubscribed)

Each campaign then delves further into these specific figures and provides you with performance metrics by way of rates and percentages. For example, a campaign will illustrate clicks as a click rate (e.g. 16%), opened emails as an opened rate, etc., all in a streamlined, color-coded interface. You can also group campaigns together for different purposes, such as listings, blog updates, etc. Check out the Understanding Email Metrics: How to Interpret Data to Boost Your Email Marketing blog post for a detailed explanation of how email rates work.

Optimizing Your Email Campaigns Through Discernible Email Metrics

Of course, the big question is this: how can REW’s new feature be used to create better email marketing campaigns? Well, it’s pretty simple! Gathering and analyzing the available data for each campaign’s performance can be used to tailor existing campaigns, and therefore achieve greater results.

For instance, if you have set up an email campaign that has a low open rate, you can determine that your email campaign is not capturing your recipients’ interest. This could be on account of poor subject lines or, perhaps, too great of a frequency of emails that are being sent out.

Conversely, if you find that there is a higher open rate, but a low click rate, this is likely a result of the content within the email itself. There are a few possibilities for methods of improvement, such as refining the layout of the email (to better feature your links) and the content. It could be too lengthy, too complex, or irrelevant to the reader’s interests. Additionally, adding (or removing, if too many) images, placing links closer to the top of the email, or ultimately rewriting the text are strategies to see improvement in click rates.

Campaign growth is easily visualized through the graph on the overview page, which tracks all of the email metrics in one handy place.

At Real Estate Webmasters, we continually strive to improve our existing features to enhance capability, streamline our current processes, and help you maximize output. Campaigns FAQ

What email metrics can I track with REW’s updated Campaigns feature?

With the new Campaigns interface, you can track key performance metrics including emails sent, opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes. Each campaign also displays rates and percentages, such as open rates and click rates, so you can quickly understand how your emails are performing at a glance.

How do these email metrics help improve my marketing results?

These metrics show you exactly how your audience is engaging with your emails. Low open rates can highlight issues with subject lines or email frequency, while low click rates can point to content or layout improvements. Using this data allows you to make informed adjustments that lead to more engagement, more conversations, and ultimately more closed deals.

Is the new Campaigns interface difficult to use?

Not at all. The updated Campaigns section is designed to feel familiar and intuitive, with a layout that mirrors other areas of the CRM. Metrics are displayed in a clean, colour-coded format, where you can set your metric cards and column views, making it easy to quickly identify what’s working and where there’s room for improvement.
