At Real Estate Webmasters, we know how important it is for your team to have easy access to the right resources—securely. That’s where REW CRM’s Intranet comes in. This tool is your private, behind-the-scenes hub where agents can find everything they need to grow and succeed. Curious about how this feature works? Let’s dive in!

Intranet Overview

REW CRM's Intranet is designed to keep your team connected and informed, with everything they need right at their fingertips. Whether it's internal documents, training resources, or company-wide updates, the Intranet offers a secure space to store and share critical information. Agents and brokers have full control over the content, allowing them to easily create and update pages, share links to files on platforms like Google Drive or Dropbox, and even embed videos. This flexibility helps ensure that all team members have the latest materials and resources, whether it's a new marketing strategy, a step-by-step guide, or details on preferred vendors.

Additionally, the Intranet helps streamline communication within the company by providing centralized pages for things like important contacts, referrals, and preferred vendors. Since only logged-in agents can access the content, you can be sure that sensitive company information stays private and secure.

Why Was Intranet Created?

The Intranet was built to simplify how real estate teams access and share essential information. With how fast-paced real estate is, having a central hub for company updates, training materials, and resources is critical. Agents often juggle multiple tools and platforms, which can lead to confusion and wasted time searching for the right documents or links. The Intranet eliminates these inefficiencies by bringing everything together in one secure, easy-to-navigate platform.

Beyond convenience, the Intranet addresses the need for privacy and security. Real estate teams handle sensitive information daily, and ensuring that only authorized individuals can access this data is a top priority. By restricting access to logged-in users through the REW CRM, the Intranet keeps your company’s internal knowledge base safe from prying eyes.

Granting Agent Intranet Permissions

To get started, contact your Account Manager or a REW staff to have the Intranet module enabled for your account. Once the Intranet is activated, Admins have to grant agents permission to access, create, edit, or delete Intranet pages. As an Admin, you have full control over assigning these privileges. Here’s how:

1. Log in to REW CRM.

2. Go to "Company" by clicking the menu option in the upper right corner.

3. Click "Agents."

4. Select the agent you want to grant access to.

5. Click the "Agent Summary" dropdown menu.

6. Select "Permissions."

7. Scroll to "Intranet Privileges."

8. Assign the desired permissions for creating, editing, and deleting Intranet content.

9. Click "Save."

With these permissions set, agents can actively contribute to managing the Intranet, keeping it up-to-date and useful for your entire team. Remember, this flexibility ensures that only authorized individuals can make changes while maintaining security and organization.

How to Create Intranet Pages

Best Practices for Using the Intranet

To make the most of Intranet, it’s essential to follow some best practices that will help keep your content organized, accessible, and relevant for your team. Here are a few tips to ensure you’re using Intranet effectively:

  • Organize Content by Category: Create separate pages for different types of content, such as company updates, training materials, and vendor information. This will make it easier for agents to find what they need quickly without sifting through unrelated content.
  • Keep Information Up-to-Date: Regularly update your Intranet pages to ensure all information is current. This includes updating training materials, contact lists, and any company policies or procedures that may change over time.
  • Use Clear and Descriptive Titles: When naming pages or links, use clear, descriptive titles that make it obvious what the content is about. This helps agents navigate the Intranet efficiently and reduces confusion.
  • Incorporate Multimedia: Adding images, videos, and documents to your pages can make them more engaging and easier to understand. Use visual elements to enhance the content and help agents quickly grasp key points.
  • Set Permissions Carefully: Be mindful of who has permission to create, edit, and delete content on the Intranet. Limit editing privileges to trusted team members to ensure the integrity of the information shared.

The Resources section is carefully organized in categories.

Benefits of Using the Intranet

Here are some key advantages of using the Intranet:

  • Centralized Information Hub: The Intranet acts as a one-stop-shop for all important company resources, making it easier for agents to find the information they need without searching through multiple platforms.
  • Improved Collaboration: By allowing agents to share content and updates, Intranet fosters a more collaborative work environment. Team members can easily communicate, share resources, and stay informed.
  • Enhanced Security: Only authorized agents can view and edit Intranet pages. This ensures that sensitive company information remains secure while still being accessible to the right people.
  • Customizable and Flexible: The Intranet can be tailored to fit the specific needs of your team. Whether it’s creating pages for onboarding, setting up training resources, or adding vendor contacts, the platform allows for customization to match your workflow and business goals.

By leveraging these benefits, your team can work more efficiently, and maintain a high level of collaboration—all through a secure, centralized platform.
