In the heart of Nanaimo, B.C., Real Estate Webmasters' headquarters transformed into a bustling hub of festive spirit as team members gathered from far and wide. Some crossed the waters by ferry, while others came from nearby neighborhoods, all carrying the same burning commitment to spread love and joy through the Christmas Angels program. In this heartwarming initiative, the team transformed into holiday elves, eager to bring smiles to those in need.

What is Christmas Angels?

Christmas Angels is a program fulfilling families' wish lists during the holiday season. It was created by Volunteer Nanaimo, an organization dedicated to serving the community in numerous impactful ways. They connect with families in need, ensuring that those who might have otherwise missed out on the joy of unwrapping presents on Christmas Day are not left without. 

Beyond our role as a technology leader, Real Estate Webmasters strives to be an active member of the community that allowed it to thrive. By supporting and participating in Christmas Angels, we hope to make everyone’s Christmas more meaningful and joyful.

The team, composed of Shonnah Hoy, Nicolette Mieduniecki, Gloria Quintero, Matias Lozzia, and Will Blackwell, gathered all the wrapped gifts beneath the Christmas tree.

Shopping and Wrapping Gifts

As part of the Christmas Angels program, the Real Estate Webmasters team came together for special shopping days. Our CEO, Morgan Carey, Head of Charitable Giving, Carly Carey, Head of Finance and Admin, Nicolette Mieduniecki, and Head of People Operations, Carrie Baker, kicked off the shopping initiative on October 17th. A second shopping day took place on December 3rd, with additional senior leaders, team members, and their families joining the lively outing at Nanaimo's Walmart.

Each volunteer received a wish list from a Christmas Angels recipient and was invited to select gifts for them. This ensured that every item was chosen with thoughtfulness and care, reflecting the team's commitment to making the holiday season special for those in need.

The shopping spree, carried out with enthusiasm and dedication, was just the beginning. Nostalgic Christmas music played in the background as the team transformed the office into a gift-wrapping assembly. Friendly competitions ensued, with some vying for the title of the best wrapper. Regardless of the results, every present received meticulous attention, with ribbons, bows, and holiday cheer adorning each package.
